Homework

Tue Jun 30, 2009, 1:12 PM
This essay was homework of my English course:

What would your dream house be like? Where would it be?

As crazy as I am, my house would be near the Olympic Coast, Washington.
Somewhere on a hill, hidden in a forest, where nobody can see my house, but I can see everything: the Pacific, the forest, the mountains, well, the whole landscape!
It should be a big house with lots of bedrooms and each bedroom would have its own bathroom. The reason being I love to have guests!
There should be a big balcony all around the house with comfortable chairs, deckchairs and hammocks everywhere so that you can enjoy the sunlight at any time of the day.
When you go through the front door you would find yourself standing in a big warm living room, with a big fireplace, where there is always a nice fire burning. There would be many different cosy couches and one wall would be full with bookshelves, with as many books as you can imagine.
The most important room in the house would be the big kitchen because I love to cook and bake for other people. There just has to be a big gas stove in the middle of the kitchen and in front of it would be a very large dining table. Not with chairs! No! With benches made out of logs which have been cut in half where all my guests have the chance to sit and watch me while I cook, to chat and laugh.
If you go through the kitchen door to the outside, you would be standing in the middle of a big patio. There would be a big BBQ grill. If it would be at all possible there should be a big fireplace in the middle of the patio where there would always be a fire burning in the evenings. But not a normal fire! A fire made with driftwood, so the flames are not yellow and red but yellow, green and blue. There you can sit comfortable in the evening and drink a beer… or two…
So, it would be a big romantic guesthouse which would be open for everyone and at anytime!

Well, sometimes dreams come true…

(Of course this is the corrected essay) ;)

so, who would like to be my guest? Or who would like to give me $ 2000000 that the dreams becoming true?!?!

" I read once about a woman whose secret fantasy was to have an affair with an artist. She thought he would really see her. He would see every curve, every line, every indentation and love them because they were part of the beauty that made her unique. "

The Gum Wall in Seattle is in the area of the Pike Place Market. It's located in Post Alley right across from The Alibi Room. People just walk past and put their gum on that wall (hence the name "Gum Wall"). Just be forewarned that the wall really smells.
